Truth is freeing, but also frightening. In an age of political correctness, it is more appealing and deceptively rewarding to merely let truth slide under the rug, wear a smile on the street than invite conflict to your corner. The consequences of neglecting reality vary, from temporal to eternal.
Eternal life, according to Jesus in John 17:3, is the knowledge of the Triune God. If this is so, then our eternal vocation is to know God and enjoy Him forever. Also, if this holds true, then our endeavors here on earth must be to know Him as much as we can, with a singular and simple focus.
It is said, by those who have done proper study and investigation, that Christianity has shifted its geographical center of gravity from the global north to the global south, (Latin America, Africa, and Asia).[1]

Yesterday I watched the NTV program On the Spot. It was, by all means, an excellent initiative, and I am thankful to Mr. Kamara and the NTV management for providing such a platform. This year the evangelical community celebrates 500 years of the reformation, since Luther nailed the 95 Theses on the door of Wittenberg, protesting against doctrinal and moral corruption in Vatican. Although Luther never intended his invitation to the students to discuss the questions he had raised in his Theses to be divisive; this is what nonetheless happened, courtesy of the newly invented printing press in Germany.
It’s always amazing to travel. Especially to new lands, to places one has often heard of, or perhaps only seen in the movies! With it comes an invitation into the soul of another civilization, a revelation of life beyond one’s ancestral confines.
In my previous article entitled ‘Why Cults Thrive in Uganda,’ I highlighted the conditions that make it possible and easy for false teachings to prosper in this land. Notably, I made mention of the lamentable lack of biblical teaching on the pulpits, as well as media platforms.
I hear that the constitution should not be changed again, because in a country as young as ours, the young need to take the lead. But says who? Others say it should be, to allow able leaders to provide their experienced leadership to the nation. But says who?
